小心患上“疑病癥”

總是擔(dān)心身體不適，動(dòng)不動(dòng)就跑去醫(yī)院找醫(yī)生診斷，即使拿到完全正常的檢查報(bào)告也無法打消自己的顧慮……現(xiàn)代人生活節(jié)奏加快，壓力增大，小心患上疑病癥。

Hypochondria refers to an excessive preoccupation with one's health, usually focusing on some particular symptom, as cardiac or gastric problems.

疑病癥指的是過度擔(dān)憂個(gè)人健康問題，通常集中于某些特定的癥狀，比如心臟或者胃部不適。

This debilitating condition is the result of an inaccurate perception of the condition of body or mind despite the absence of an actual medical diagnosis.

這種讓人衰弱的癥狀是由于盡管缺乏確實(shí)的醫(yī)療診斷，但對個(gè)人的身體或精神狀況認(rèn)識不準(zhǔn)確。

An individual suffering from hypochondriasis is known as a hypochondriac.

患有疑病癥的人就稱為疑病患者。

Hypochondriacs become unduly alarmed about any physical or psychological symptoms they detect, no matter how minor the symptom may be, and are convinced that they have, or are about to be diagnosed with, a serious illness.
