今年過(guò)節(jié)都“免禮”

　　到了年底，節(jié)日多、過(guò)生日的也多，大小聚會(huì)接連不斷，送出去的禮物自然也不會(huì)少。其實(shí)，有時(shí)候想想這樣來(lái)回來(lái)去送東西也挺沒(méi)意思的，倒不如省去這些客套，大家多些真心相處更重要。所以，今天要說(shuō)的這個(gè)degifting一定說(shuō)出了很多人的心聲。

　　Degifting is a mutual agreement to suspend holiday gifts, usually within a single family or circle of friends.

　　Degifting指在家庭范圍或朋友圈內(nèi)約定過(guò)節(jié)期間不用互贈(zèng)禮物，簡(jiǎn)稱過(guò)節(jié)“免禮”。

　　Degifting can also refer to the act of replacing useless and pointless merchandise with something more meaningful, such as a charitable donation, service project or holiday party.

　　另外，degifting也指用更加有意義的行為取代過(guò)節(jié)時(shí)無(wú)用又無(wú)謂的商品互贈(zèng)行為，比如捐贈(zèng)善款、志愿服務(wù)或者辦個(gè)節(jié)日聚會(huì)等。

　　For example:

　　Due to the recession, we've decided that degifting is the best plan for Christmas this year. Instead, we're all getting together to serve food at the homeless shelter.

　　因?yàn)榻?jīng)濟(jì)不景氣，我們決定今年圣誕節(jié)最好的辦法就是互免禮物。到時(shí)候我們會(huì)一起到流浪人員救助站為他們送些吃的過(guò)去。
