二、動詞不定式的特征

1.如果構(gòu)成不定式的動詞是及物動詞，必須有賓語

He wants to study Japanese.他想學習日語。（Japanese作to study的賓語）

The driver failed to see the other car in time.

司機沒能及時看見另一輛車。（the other car作to see的賓語）

2.動詞不定式可以被狀語修飾

It continued to rain heavily.雨繼續(xù)下得很大。（heavily修飾to rain）

He left Harvard to work for a company.

他離開了哈佛大學去了一家公司工作。（for a company作to work的狀語）
