三、可數名詞和不可數名詞

1.可數名詞：可以用來計數的名詞，包括個體名詞和集體名詞

（1）可數名詞前可用具體的數詞來表示具體的數量。

two apples 兩個蘋果 four books 四本書

（2）可數名詞作主語時，謂語動詞的單復數與主語的單復數保持一致。

This picture is very beautiful.這幅畫很美。（謂語動詞用單數）

There are two cups of tea on the table.桌上有兩杯茶。（謂語動詞用復數）

2.不可數名詞：物質名詞和抽象名詞

3.名詞的修飾語

（1）可數名詞的修飾語

these 這些　　　those 那些　　　few 幾乎沒有　　　a few 幾個　　　many 許多

a good/great many 許多　　　　　a large number of 大量

Few people would agree with this.幾乎沒人會同意這種看法。

He has a large number of friends here.他在這兒有很多朋友。

【提示】

①a good/great many直接加復數名詞。

A good many students come from Shanghai.許多學生來自上海。

A great many people have attended his lecture.許多人聽過他的講座。

②a good many of接“人稱代詞賓格”。

A good many of them like swimming in summer.他們中有許多人喜歡夏季游泳。

A great many of us enjoy reading in our spare time.我們中有許多人喜歡在業(yè)余時間閱讀。

③a good many of接“限定詞（the，these，those，形容詞性物主代詞）+名詞”。

A good many of the students like playing computer games.許多學生喜歡打電子游戲。

A great many of these people have seen the film.這些人中有許多看過這部電影。

A good many of his students come from Shanghai.他的學生中有許多來自上海。

（2）不可數名詞的修飾語

this 這個　　that 那個　　little 幾乎沒有　　a little 很少　　a bit of 一點兒

much 許多　　a great deal of 大量　　　　　　a large amount of 大量

He didn’t give me much money.他沒給我很多錢。

A great deal of money is spent on research.研究工作花了許多錢。

（3）可數名詞與不可數名詞同時可用的修飾語

all 所有　　　　　　　　some 一些　　　　enough 充足的　　　　most 大部分

a lot of/lots of 許多　 plenty of 許多　 a large quantity of 大量

You needn’t hurry.There’s plenty of time.你不必著急。時間多著哩。（接不可數名詞）

There are plenty of men out of work.失業(yè)的人很多。（接可數名詞）

A large quantity of beer was sold out.大量的啤酒被售出。（接不可數名詞）

A large quantity of books were on sale.大量書籍有售。（接可數名詞）

②Large quantities of food are on the table.桌上有許多食物。（接不可數名詞）
