冠詞是英語中位于名詞前面的一種特殊虛詞。它不能單獨使用，只放在名詞的前面，并幫助名詞表達(dá)某種含義，故稱為冠詞。冠詞有三個，即a，an和the；冠詞分為三類，a，an被稱為不定冠詞；the被稱為定冠詞；名詞前不用冠詞時被稱為零冠詞。

01-4 冠詞位置的4種特殊情況

冠詞通常位于名詞的前面，當(dāng)形容詞修飾名詞時，冠詞通常位于形容詞前。如：a good student一個好學(xué)生；an honest boy一個誠實的男孩；the happy family那個幸福的家庭。下列3種情況較為特殊：

（1）當(dāng)名詞被what，such，half，many修飾時，不定冠詞a或an要放在這些詞的后面。

What an interesting book it is！多么有趣的一本書??！

I have never seen such an animal.我從來沒有見過這樣的動物。

He waited there for half an hour.他在那兒等了半個小時。

Many a man is fit for the job.很多人適合該工作。

（2）當(dāng)名詞前的形容詞被副詞as，so，too，how修飾時，不定冠詞a或an要放在形容詞之后。

It is as pleasant a day as I have ever spent.這是我度過的最愉快的一天。

The teacher asked so hard a question that none of us could answer it.老師問了一個很難的問題，我們都回答不上來。

Maggie is too young a girl to be left by herself at home.瑪吉太小，不能把她單獨留在家里。

How timely a rain we've got in so dry a season！在如此干燥的季節(jié)里，這真是一場及時雨啊！

（3）當(dāng)單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞被quite，rather修飾時，不定冠詞a或an放在quite或rather之后。

She is wearing quite a beautiful sweater.她穿著一件非常好看的毛衣。

（4）當(dāng)定冠詞the與all，both，half等詞連用修飾名詞時，定冠詞應(yīng)放在這些詞之后。

All the books are written in English.所有的書都是用英語寫的。

Both the boys are interested in computer games.那兩個男孩都對電腦游戲感興趣。

They only walked half the journey.他們只走了一半的路程。
