Jessia在北京學(xué)中文，她的中國朋友要是遇到了不知道用美語怎么說的詞，就會(huì)來請(qǐng)教她。今天是怡茹要問的：崩潰。

Jessica：Morning 怡茹! Oh..you don't look so well, are you sick?

YR: 生病倒沒有，就是精神快崩潰了。老板讓我做調(diào)研，一共需要1000多個(gè)樣品數(shù)據(jù)! 我已經(jīng)做了兩個(gè)星期，頭昏腦脹，可還是沒做完! I am going crazy!

Jessica: Don't freak out yet. 怡茹，咱們一塊想想辦法!

YR: Wait a second...你說，freak out?

Jessica: Freak is spelled f-r-e-a-k, freak; freak out 就是崩潰的意思。

YR: OMG! That's totally me! I'm freaking out! 你說想辦法，我已經(jīng)上網(wǎng)找，問朋友，去圖書館查，都沒有現(xiàn)成的數(shù)據(jù)，完全要自己一點(diǎn)一點(diǎn)搜集! 我覺得我已經(jīng)走投無路了....

Jessica: Yeah... seems like you are at the end of your rope. This phrase basically means you are out of options. I'm so sorry 怡茹!

YR: At the end of my rope? 真形象。繩子到頭了，沒有別的辦法。I'm SO at the end of my rope! Jessica，你說要是我無法按時(shí)完成任務(wù)，那可怎么辦呀! 老板都催我兩次了，我現(xiàn)在感覺如履薄冰。

Jessica: Yeah, being on thin ice is definitely not the best feeling in the world.

YR: On thin ice 就是中文里說的如履薄冰吧？太形象了。

Jessica: You know what? I'm not worried about you. I think you can definitely finish the assignment on time!

YR: 真的嗎？好，那我加油，一定按時(shí)完成，做得漂漂亮亮的！
