The two luxury houses, which between them own brands including Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Gucci, together had sales of roughly €50bn in 2016. Yesterday they unveiled a joint charter on working relations with models, applicable worldwide.

They committed to working only with models who are able to present a valid medical certificate, obtained less than six months in advance of the fashion shoot or shows. They also banned the use of French measurement size 32 for women (equivalent to a UK size 4 or US size zero) from their casting, and vowed to make a dedicated psychologist or therapist available during working time.
LVMH和開云承諾,將只與能夠出示有效健康證明的模特合作,這些健康證明需要在時尚拍攝或走秀前6個月以內(nèi)出具。兩家集團還禁止在拍攝中聘用法國尺碼32號(相當于英國尺碼4號或者美國尺碼0號)及以下的女性模特,并承諾將在模特工作期間提供專職的心理醫(yī)生或治療師。
The charter bans models under the age of 16 from taking part in shows or shoots representing an adult and unveiled specific rules for 16 to 18-year-old models. François-Henri Pinault, chairman and chief executive of Kering, said in a statement: “We hope to inspire the entire industry to follow suit.”
這份章程還禁止雇用16歲以下的模特參與成人造型走秀或者拍攝,并公布針對16歲到18歲之間的模特的具體規(guī)則。開云集團董事長兼首席執(zhí)行官弗朗索瓦-亨利•皮諾(Francois-Henri Pinault)在一份聲明中表示:“我們希望鼓舞整個行業(yè)效仿。”
