  褒義形容詞

  1. 重要的 important

  一出口就光會(huì)說這個(gè),你有沒有想過以下這些高分的替換詞匯?

  (1)vital ['va?t(?)l]:必不可少的;對(duì)…極重要的;生命的;維持生命所必需的

  It is no doubt that the education of the youth is vital to a country.

  不言而喻,青年人的教育對(duì)于一個(gè)國(guó)家的未來(lái)是至關(guān)重要的。

  (2)crucial ['kru??(?)l]:至關(guān)重要的;關(guān)鍵性的

  The requirement upon listening skill has always been a crucial part of English acquisition.

  聽力技能的要求一直是英語(yǔ)習(xí)得的重要一環(huán)。

  (3) prominent ['pr?m?n?nt]:重要的;著名的;杰出的;顯眼的

  Archimedes had a very prominent saying: give me a fulcrum and I can pry up the whole earth.

  阿基米德有句名言:給我一個(gè)支點(diǎn),我可以撬起整個(gè)地球。

  (4)cardinal ['kɑ?d(?)n(?)l]: 最重要的,最基本的;n. 基數(shù);樞機(jī)主教;純數(shù);紅衣鳳頭鳥(見于北美,雄鳥為鮮紅色)

  Every one suspects himself of at least one of the cardinal virtues.

  每個(gè)人都認(rèn)為他自己至少有一種主要的品德。

  2. 優(yōu)秀的 good

  (1)excellent ['eks(?)l(?)nt]:優(yōu)秀的;杰出的;極好的;(用以表示愉快或贊同)好極了

  It takes years of hard work to be an excellent interpreter.

  要成為一名優(yōu)秀的口譯員,要經(jīng)過多年的艱苦努力。

  (2)outstanding [a?t'stænd??]:杰出的;尚待解決的;突出的

  The girl who won the scholarship was quite outstanding.

  得獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的女孩是相當(dāng)優(yōu)秀的。

  (3) extraordinary [?k?str??dnri]:意想不到的;令人驚奇的;奇怪的;不平常的

  The virtue of a man ought to be measured not by his extraordinary exertions, but by his everyday conduct.

  一個(gè)人的品德不是通過非凡的發(fā)揮測(cè)量,而是通過他日常行為而定。

  (4) remarkable [r?'mɑ?k?b(?)l]:非凡的;奇異的;顯著的;引人注目的

  The walk down Broadway, then as now, was one of the remarkable features of the city.

  3. 有趣的 interesting

  (2) entertaining [ent?'te?n??]:有趣的;娛樂的;使人愉快的

  The children staged an entertaining puppet show.

  孩子們表演了一場(chǎng)十分有趣的木偶戲。

  (3) engaging [?n'ge?d???]:有趣的;令人愉快的;迷人的

  His engaging personality made him popular with his peers.

  他迷人的個(gè)性使他深受同齡人的喜愛。

  4. 有活力的 energetic

  (1) dynamic [da?'næm?k]:充滿活力的;活躍的;精力充沛的;不斷變化的

  Mr. Mason was quite alive now, interrogative, dynamic and a bit dictatorial in his manner, even to his old friend.

  梅森先生精神抖擻,象在盤問似的,精力很充沛,那神情,仿佛對(duì)他的老朋友也有些專斷。

  (2) vigorous ['v?g(?)r?s]:充滿活力的;充滿激情的;激烈的;精力旺盛的

  The whiteness of her skin under the caress of this hale vigorous morning light was dazzling, pure, of a fineness beyond words.

  (3) animated ['æn?me?t?d]:有生氣的;活躍的;熱烈的;興致勃勃的

  His observations gave rise to an animated and lively discussion.

  5. 充足的 abundant

  (1) ample ['æmp(?)l]:足夠的;豐裕的;豐滿的;碩大的

  Going to bed early will give you ample rest and will help you rise early.

  早點(diǎn)去睡能給你充分的休息,以及早起的可能。

  (2) plentiful ['plent?f?l]:大量的;眾多的;充足的;豐富的

  There, by a close application to business as a merchant, he acquired a plentiful fortune in a few years.

  (3) generous ['d?en(?)r?s]:慷慨的;大方的;慷慨給予的;豐富的

  It was generous of her to lend me so much money.

  6. 勇敢的 brave

  (1) courageous [k?'re?d??s]:勇敢的;無(wú)畏的

  It is courageous of you to tell us the truth .

  你很勇敢,告訴了我們事實(shí)。

  (2) bold [b??ld]:大膽自信的;敢于表白情感的;敢于冒險(xiǎn)的;明顯的 n.粗體,加粗

  It was about this time I conceived the bold and arduous project of arriving at moral perfection.

  (3) fearless ['f??l?s]:不怕的;無(wú)畏的;大膽的

  Fearlessness stems from selflessness. ; Only the selfless can be fearless.

  7. 合理的 reasonable

  (1) sound [sa?nd]:明智的;合理的;正確的;可靠的

  She gave me some very sound advice.

  她給了我一些非常合理的建議。

  (2)rational ['ræ?(?)n(?)l]:合理的;理性的;明智的;理智的

  There is no rational explanation for his actions.

  對(duì)他的所作所為無(wú)法作出合理的解釋。

  (3) sensible ['sens?b(?)l]:明智的;理智的;合理的;切合實(shí)際的

  It would seem more sensible to apply standards flexibly rather than rigidly.

  靈活地運(yùn)用標(biāo)準(zhǔn)比死守標(biāo)準(zhǔn)會(huì)顯得更合情合理。

  8. 著名的 famous

  (1) renowned [r?'na?nd]:有名的;聞名的;受尊敬的

  She became renowned for her elegant designs in fitted dresses for the modern woman .

  她以雅致合身的現(xiàn)代女性服裝設(shè)計(jì)而出名。

  (2) noticeable ['n??t?s?b(?)l]:值得注意的;明顯的;顯而易見到

  There's been a noticeable improvement in her handwriting.

  她的書寫有了明顯提高。

  (3) notable ['n??t?b(?)l]:值得注意的;顯著的;重要的

  It is notable that the business spa differs from its traditional counterpart in two main respects.

  值得注意的是,商務(wù)水療與傳統(tǒng)水療在兩個(gè)主要方面有著不同。

  9. 有益的 helpful

  (1) favorable ['fe?v?r?bl]:有利的;贊許的;優(yōu)惠的

  He made a favorable impression on her father.

  他給她的父親留下了很好的印象。

  (2) beneficial [ben?'f??(?)l]:有益的;受益的;有利于

  It can be beneficial to share your feelings with someone you trust.

  向自己信任的人傾訴感情是很有益處的。

  (3)rewarding [r?'w??d??]:值得做的;有益的;報(bào)酬高的

  It is a very rewarding exercise to work this out oneself.

  獨(dú)自解決這個(gè)問題是一次受益匪淺的鍛煉。
