A: How was your day?
 
你今天過(guò)得怎么樣？
 
B: Let's start with you. How was yours?
 
你先說(shuō)吧，你怎么樣？
 
A: It's really busy. I had to work straight through my lunch break.
 
我特別忙，我午休的時(shí)間都在干活。
 
B: Did you get to leave early then?
 
你能早點(diǎn)走嗎？
 
A: My boss told me that I could either go home early or take a long lunch break another day, so I decided to wait and take a long lunch break another time.
 
我上司跟我說(shuō)可以早點(diǎn)回家，或者改天午休休的長(zhǎng)一點(diǎn)。所以我決定等到哪天有空中午多休息一會(huì)兒。
 
B: It was nice of your boss to give you an option. My boss would never do that.
 
你上司人不錯(cuò)，還給你選擇的機(jī)會(huì)，我上次從來(lái)都不會(huì)這樣。
 
A: Let's get back to you, how was your day?
 
還是說(shuō)說(shuō)你吧，你今天怎么樣？
 
B: It was horrible, it was just one thing after another.
 
今天太恐怖了，事情一件接著一件。
 
A: You look pretty upset. Are you okay?
 
你看起來(lái)情緒不高，沒事兒吧？
 
B: I'm fine, but I have bad news.
 
我沒事兒，但是我有個(gè)壞消息。
 
A: What's that?
 
什么事兒？
 
B: I got sacked today.
 
我今天被解雇了。
 
A: You're kidding. How did that happen?
 
你開玩笑吧，到底怎么回事兒？
 
B: Well, I was late to work today. It was the third time I was late this week.
 
我今天遲到了，這是我這周第三次遲到了。
 
A: How late were you?
 
遲到多長(zhǎng)時(shí)間？
 
B: Only about five minutes.
 
大概只有五分鐘。
 
A: You got fired for being a few minutes late?
 
就因?yàn)檫t到幾分鐘，你就被解雇了？
 
B: My boss is really picky about that. He never arrives late, usually works overtime, and always gets his work done on time.
 
我上司對(duì)遲到最敏感了，他自己從來(lái)不遲到，經(jīng)常加班，而且還總是按時(shí)完成任務(wù)。
