A: When do you think people normally fall in love? How can people know when they fall in love?

B: I don't know. I have never had a boyfriend.
 
我不知道。我沒交過男朋友。
 
A: Just imagine.
 
想想看。
 
B: I imagine that they will think about their lover every second of every minute of every day. And they will want to live together, I think that's a part of being in love. The feeling of being in love, or having a crush is different from other types of love.
 
我猜他們會每時每刻想著他們的愛人。他們會想一起生活，我覺得這是相愛的一部分。相愛或熱戀是與其他的愛不同的。
 
A: At what age do people usually fall in love? Or how old do you think they have their first boyfriend or girlfriend?
 
你認(rèn)為人們通常多大開始戀愛或者說有第一個男朋友、女朋友？
 
B: 20
 
20歲。
 
A: 20？People have the first boyfriend or girlfriend?
 
20歲？他們才有第一個男朋友或女朋友？
 
B: Yes, although some people are more precocious. They might meet in middle school. I also know some people who wait until they are 25 or 30. Then they find a partner. Normally in the past city kids start going steady at a slightly younger age than those from the countryside.
 
是的。雖然有些人要早熟一些——可能在中學(xué)就約會了，但我也認(rèn)識一些一直等到25歲或30歲才開始找對象的人。但是一般來講，過去城市里的年輕人找男朋友或是女朋友要早于農(nóng)村的年輕人。
 
A: But one of my students told me that nowadays rural kids date at the age of 20, just as old as city kids do.
 
聽我一個學(xué)生講，現(xiàn)在城市的孩子和農(nóng)村孩子開始戀愛的時間都大概在20歲左右。
 
B: Possibly. So far it's concerned the difference between country side and cities are not so conspicuous.
 
可能吧。城市和農(nóng)村在這方面的差異并不太明顯。
