A:  well, what did you think about the last candidate? Do you think we should hire her?
 
嗯， 你對(duì)最后一個(gè)應(yīng)聘者有什么看法？你覺(jué)得咱們應(yīng)該錄用她嗎？
 
B:  she had a very impressive resume, but she seemed to lack the confidence that I think a good manager needs.
 
她的簡(jiǎn)歷令人印象深刻，但是她本人似乎有點(diǎn)缺乏自信，這恰恰是一個(gè)優(yōu)秀的經(jīng)理所必須的條件之一。
 
A:  what made you think that she wasn’t very confident?
 
你是怎么看出她缺乏自信的？
 
B:  did you notice the way that she avoided making eye contact with us while she talked?
 
你有沒(méi)有注意到，在談話(huà)中她總是回避和我們目光交流？
 
A:  she was a bit nervous, I guess. What else?
 
我猜她可能有點(diǎn)兒緊張。還有其它理由嗎？
 
B:  when she first walked into the room to greet us, she didn’t shake our hands or introduce herself at all. I thought that was a bit unprofessional.
 
她初進(jìn)房間跟我們打招呼的時(shí)候，既沒(méi)有和咱們握手也沒(méi)有做自我介紹。我覺(jué)得這種表現(xiàn)有點(diǎn)不專(zhuān)業(yè)。
 
A:  you’re right. If she walked into meeting with our clients like that, it would make our company look bad, wouldn’t it?
 
你說(shuō)的有些道理。如果她參與與客戶(hù)的會(huì)晤也是這種表現(xiàn)，可能會(huì)有損我們公司的形象，是吧？
 
B:  it sure would. Did you also notice the way she slouched in her chair during most of the interview? She had horrible posture!
 
肯定是這樣的。你有沒(méi)有注意她在面試時(shí)大部分時(shí)間都是懶洋洋地坐在椅子上。那副姿態(tài)實(shí)在是太難看了。
 
A:  I agree. I guess I was paying more attention to her answers than her body language. She didn’t keep enough distance between us during the meeting.
 
我同意。我想當(dāng)時(shí)我一定是太關(guān)注她的問(wèn)題而忽略了她的身體姿態(tài)。在談話(huà)中她沒(méi)有跟我們保持足夠的距離。
 
A:  that’s true. I guess we’ll have to keep looking for a manager then.
 
沒(méi)錯(cuò)，我想咱們還得再繼續(xù)找能擔(dān)任經(jīng)理的其他合適人選。
 
B:  don’t worry, we’ll find someone eventually!
 
別擔(dān)心，咱們一定能找到的。
