Ann: Have you watched the TV play which is very hot on the Internet?

Lily: Which one? I only watch movie on the Internet.

哪一部?我在網(wǎng)上只看電影。

Ann: Humble Abode. This TV play is concerned about a social problem, the high room rate.

《蝸居》，這部電視劇涉及到一個(gè)社會(huì)問題，高房?jī)r(jià)。

Lily: It sounds a good play.

聽起來像是一部好劇呢。

Ann: Good or not is very hard to say. But it really tells us something.

好或不好很難說，但是真的告訴我們一些東西。

Lily: A famous land agent said that the young people shouldn’t afford an apartment.

一個(gè)著名的房地產(chǎn)商說到，年輕人就該買不起房。

Ann: Why did he say so?

為什么他要怎么說呢?

Lily: In his opinion, young people under 40 in the developed countries who have no job or his income could just make both end meet haven’t bought an apartment, while in China, it is totally different.

在他看來，在發(fā)達(dá)國(guó)家的四十歲以下的年輕人，沒有工作的，或者說收支平衡的，是買不起房的，而在中國(guó)卻是相反的。

Ann: Yes, the money they used to buy a house were from there parents or loan from the bank. They don’t earn the money.

是的，他們用來買房的錢要么是父母的，要么是貸款的。他們根本賺不了錢。

Lily: Chinese traditional thought is the main reason.

中國(guó)的傳統(tǒng)思想是最主要的原因啊。
