第29課舉重運(yùn)動(dòng)員
Last week father took the children to a circus.
上個(gè)星期,父親帶孩子們?nèi)タ瘩R戲演出.
First they saw a weight-lifter.
他們第一個(gè)看到的是位舉重運(yùn)動(dòng)員,
He was very strong.
他非常強(qiáng)壯,
He picked up a heavy weight.
他舉起了一副沉重的杠鈴
He was strong enough to lift it above his head.
毫不費(fèi)力地一下子就把它舉過了頭.
Then a clown appeared.
然后小丑出場(chǎng)了,
He tried to lift the weight,but he couldn't
他也想把杠鈴舉起來,但是他舉不動(dòng),
He was too weak to lift it!
他太瘦弱了,舉不起來.
Suddenly,the clown picked up another big weight.
忽然小丑把另外一個(gè)很大的杠鈴舉了起來,
He lifted it easily.
他輕而易舉地就把它舉了起來.
But the clown's weight was only a bar and two balloons!
但小丑舉起的杠鈴只是一根橫桿和兩只氣球.
