Bad news, "Glee" fans ... you'll be getting a little less music and drama this season.

FOX has cut "Glee" Season 5 down from 22 episodes to 20 episodes, per The Hollywood Reporter. This is the first time that the network has decided to air less of the musical dramedy.

《好萊塢報(bào)道》報(bào)道，F(xiàn)OX電視臺(tái)把《歡樂(lè)合唱團(tuán)》原定的22集縮減為20集，這是FOX電視臺(tái)這么多年來(lái)做的首個(gè)縮減集數(shù)的決定。

The official reason for the two episode cut is because of the production hiatus the cast and crew took after series star Cory Monteith's sudden death. The show's ratings have also been in decline; recent episodes have hovered around a 1.0 rating in adults 18-49.

FOX電視臺(tái)官方給出的縮集原因是因?yàn)椤稓g樂(lè)合唱團(tuán)》男演員Cory Monteith的死給這部劇的拍攝進(jìn)度帶來(lái)了影響。而這部劇的收視率也大降，最近幾集的18-49歲人群的平均收視僅僅維持在1.0左右。

FOX has already renewed the series for Season 6 (which will be its final one) so this won't affect the future of the show. It just means there will be two fewer episodes this season. There's also a chance the two episodes could be added to the final season.
