The main structure of the China Pavilion, "The Crown of the East," has a distinctive roof, made of traditional dougong or brackets, which date back more than 2,000 years. This unique structural component of interlocking wooden brackets is one of the most important elements in traditional Chinese architecture. Dougong was widely used in the Spring and Autumn Period (770 BC-467 BC).
中國(guó)館的主體建筑，“東方之冠”，采用傳統(tǒng)的、擁有2000多年歷史的斗拱式建筑風(fēng)格，其屋頂設(shè)計(jì)獨(dú)特。這種木磚相扣的獨(dú)特建筑風(fēng)格是中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)建筑的最重要的組成部分。在春秋時(shí)期（公元前770年到467年）斗拱建筑風(fēng)格被人們廣泛采用。
The contour design of the pavilion is based on the concept of "Oriental Crown, Splendid China, Ample Barn, and Rich People," to express the spirit and disposition of Chinese culture. The pavilion will have a core exhibition area on the top floor, an experience area on the second and a functional area on the first. China's achievements in urban development from ancient to modern times will be the core theme of the pavilion.
展館建筑外觀設(shè)計(jì)基于“東方之冠，鼎盛中華，天下糧倉(cāng)，富庶百姓”這一概念，表達(dá)中國(guó)文化的精神與氣質(zhì)。 展館將核心展區(qū)設(shè)置在頂層，第二層為體驗(yàn)區(qū)，第一層為功能區(qū)。表現(xiàn)從古至今，中國(guó)在城市發(fā)展方面取得的成就是展館的核心主題。
Highlight 1:Exploring "Oriental Footprint"
The wisdom that the ancient Chinese used to develop cities will be showcased with programs of different styles in Section One. A video played in the multimedia exhibition will tell stories about China's vast migration from rural to urban areas over the past 30 years of reform and opening-up, people's enthusiasm for building a better city and expectations forthe future. The famous picture of “Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival” will also make its appearance in the China Pavilion to illustrate the charms of ancient Chinese cities.

第一展區(qū)通過(guò)風(fēng)格迥異的展示項(xiàng)目，向人們展示中國(guó)人在城市發(fā)展中的智慧。其中的多媒體綜合展項(xiàng)播放的一部影片，講述改革開(kāi)放三十多年來(lái)中國(guó)自強(qiáng)不息的城市化經(jīng)驗(yàn)、中國(guó)人的建設(shè)熱情和對(duì)于未來(lái)的期望。國(guó)寶級(jí)名畫(huà)《清明上河圖》被藝術(shù)地再現(xiàn)于展廳中，傳達(dá)中國(guó)古典城市的智慧。

The Experience Trip Excursion trains will give visitors an appreciation of the great wisdom and achievements in China's urban development from ancient to modern times.

采用軌道游覽車(chē)，讓參觀者領(lǐng)略中國(guó)從古至今在城市營(yíng)建規(guī)劃中展現(xiàn)出的大智慧。
Highlight 3:Focus on low-carbon future
Chinese people will tackle future challenges brought by urbanization in a sustainable way which takes low-carbon technologies as its core.

聚焦以低碳為核心元素的中國(guó)未來(lái)城市發(fā)展，展示中國(guó)人如何通過(guò)“師法自然的現(xiàn)代追求”來(lái)應(yīng)對(duì)未來(lái)的城市化挑戰(zhàn)，為實(shí)現(xiàn)全球可持續(xù)發(fā)展提供“中國(guó)式的回答”
