Slovakia Pavilion welcomes millionth visitor
A visitor surnamed Zhang from Lanzhou, Gansu Province, received a gift pack from staff of the Slovakia Pavilion at 11:30am today because he was the millionth lucky visitor to the pavilion.
The pack contained drink, goods and cloth, all made in Slovakia. Zhang will also enjoy a tour to the China Pavilion, which requires reservation tickets for admission.
An average of 30,000 to 50,000 visitors tour the Slovakia Pavilion daily.
The pavilion showcases the history, customs and culture of the country. Visitors can see spiral stairs which symbolize winding roads of the cities, while walls with important historical moments of Slovakia lead visitors back to the old times. Movies about daily urban lives are also played as witnesses of the everlasting change, motion and development of cities.
