緊鄰原則
Students, farmers, and employees in urban areas are often subject to pressure. Although reasons are millions in forms, in essence they can be grouped into several particular categories.
First of all, students are pressured because examinations are too frequent and too difficult. Take mathematics as an example. Each year I am troubled by examinations on mathematics at least four times, and never have I been successful. This is really a kind of heavy pressure to me. Another reason of the pressure on students is the uncertain future employment. That is to say a large number of graduates are unable to fix themselves in the job market.
Second, why do farmers say they are living a stressful life? Where has the old pastoral life gone? On the one hand, they have to pay the governments heavy tax. In fact 30% of their yields are paid as tax. On the other hand, to farm costs too much in that it becomes more and more expensive to buy pesticides, chemical fertilizer, and seeds. For instance, the electricity used for irrigation costs three times as high as it was five years ago.
The employees, perhaps, are the worst as far as living pressure is concerned. They are eroded away(侵蝕)by the dirty air, heavy traffic jam, inflation, prohibitively expensive houses, unhealthy foods, and despair services. Their pressure comes from every channel. Child education in the urban areas usually eats away the majority of their annual incomes. Health care goes beyond the power of the middle class to pay. The list goes on and on and on.
Finally, it is vital to ask how to release the pressure. One way is to improve the political and economic systems. The other is that educational methods must be reformed.
