In recent days, what arouses the public attention is that some libraries are open to beggars and junkmen. Hangzhou Library, for instance, provides beggars and junkmen chances to read there as long as they clean their hands before reading.

However, people’s attitudes towards this phenomenon diverge from one another. In contrast to the above, the opponents express their concern by worrying about the other readers’ safety and comfort as the beggars and junkmen usually wear dirty and smelly clothes which might be unhealthy or intolerable for other readers. Additionally, they doubt that those people walk into the libraries just in search of a quiet and comfortable place to take a nap.
