Protect Our Earth
Mahatma Gandhi ever said that "Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's need, but not every man's greed." Simple as the motto may sound, it conveys a thought-provoking notion that each of us has no any reason to exploit natural resources of the Earth recklessly and excessively though the natural resources of the world are abundant enough to meet the need of human beings.
We have only one Earth. How to tackle the problem of protection of environment and Earth and how to save energy effectively is crucial to our increasingly modernized society. The rapid development of economy shouldn't be based on the price of deteriorated environment. Saving such resources as water, oil, gas, coal and wood could ensure the sustainable development of the society and environment. Otherwise, these resources would be exhausted one day and nothing would be left for the future generation.
In a word, it is imperative for us to cherish and protect the nature for the benefit of next generations and ourselves. We should effectively protect, rationally exploit and economize on natural resources. Only in this way can we embrace a green, harmonious, abundant and beautiful world. (196 words)
