As home appliances³⁾ go，refrigerators are pretty stupid．The sum of their skills：They make things cold and colder．General Electric's side－by－side Arctica，introduced this year，is the first real advance in refrigeration in decades．The key feature：an Express Chill and Express Thaw drawer，which cools a bottle of wine or softens a frozen steak in a fraction⁴⁾ of the normal time．Other genius touches：An ethylene⁵⁾ filter in the produce drawer keeps your veggies⁶⁾ fresh longer，and the tall ice and water dispenser accommodates bottles and pitchers．

冷卻和刺激作用兼具的冰箱
