兩個連環(huán)節(jié)

　　A countryman from the state of Lu sent to king Song Yuangong two knots that were difficult to untie.

　　The king posted a notice to find people with wisdom to undo the knots, but nobody could undo them.

　　Later one of Er Shou's students untied one of them but could not undo the other one. The student thereupon claimed, "The knot could impossibly be untied." The king sent people to check what he said with the countryman from Lu.

　　The man from Lu said, "He is right. This knot cannot be untied. It was not him that tied this knot. And he can tell that this knot cannot be untied. He surely is more clever than I am."

　　魯國的一個鄉(xiāng)下人送給宋元公兩個難以解開的連環(huán)結。

　　宋元公張榜招賢，卻無人能夠解開。

　　兒說一個學生解開了其中的一個，另一個怎么也解不開。這個學生于是斷言：“這個繩結根本就不可能解開!”宋元公派人去問連環(huán)節(jié)的魯國人這話是否準確。

　　魯國人回答說：“的確是這樣。這個結本來就是一個解不開的死結，我打這個結時，就知道它不可能被解開。說這話的人并沒有親手打這個結，卻能看出這是個死結，這人的確比我聰明。”
