Hebe：唱出自己的聲音

S.H.E. is arguably the most successful girl group in the Mando-pop world. But in many music critics’ and fans’ eyes, Hebe Tien, a member of the crowd-pleasing Taiwan group, only became a real musician, as opposed to just another pop idol, once she released her debut solo album in 2010.

S.H.E 可以說(shuō)是華語(yǔ)流行樂(lè)壇里最成功的女子組合。但在許多樂(lè)評(píng)人和歌迷看來(lái)，在這個(gè)深受大眾喜愛(ài)的臺(tái)灣組合中，成員田馥甄(Hebe)在2010年發(fā)行了她的首張個(gè)人專(zhuān)輯之后，才成為了一位真正的音樂(lè)人，而不是又一個(gè)流行偶像。

On Dec 15, Tien wrapped up her third *consecutive concert at Taipei Arena. The excited singer didn’t stop her lively performance until 23:15. Knowing she had to pay NT$150,000 (33,000 yuan) for running over, she just laughed a hearty laugh and said: “Come on, take my money.”

12月15日，Hebe在臺(tái)北小巨蛋體育館連唱三場(chǎng)的演唱會(huì)圓滿落幕。這位興奮的歌手直到23:15分才結(jié)束她生龍活虎的演出。在得知她需要支付15萬(wàn)臺(tái)幣(約合人民幣33,000元)演唱會(huì)超時(shí)罰款時(shí)，她大笑著說(shuō)：“來(lái)吧，把我的錢(qián)拿去吧。”

Tien told Taiwan female fashion website Womany that she feels blessed to be able to have her own concerts. “On my own stage, I can choose my own songs and present them with reflection on my own life experience. That’s a real blessing.”

在接受臺(tái)灣女性時(shí)尚網(wǎng)站《女人迷》采訪時(shí)，Hebe表示，能夠開(kāi)自己的演唱會(huì)，她感到十分幸運(yùn)。“在我自己的舞臺(tái)上，我可以選擇自己的歌，以我個(gè)人生活經(jīng)歷的反思來(lái)呈現(xiàn)它們。這真的是一大幸事。”

She now has a say in her own music too. There’s no denying S.H.E.’s commercial *prosperity, but are those catchy love songs – of which many are cover versions of Western hits – really what Tien would like to sing?

現(xiàn)在，她對(duì)于自己的音樂(lè)也有了發(fā)言權(quán)。S.H.E在商業(yè)上獲得了巨大成功，這一點(diǎn)不可否認(rèn)，但那些朗朗上口的情歌 —— 許多還是西方熱門(mén)金曲的翻唱—— 真的是Hebe 想要唱的嗎?

We know the *headstrong young woman loves her group members but at the same time always dreamed to do the music she really wanted, even if it was an EP of English covers. Fortunately for her and her fans though, her dream came true. And what we do know is she has a distinctive *criteria when it comes to song choices for her solo albums. Latest release Day by Day (《日?！?, which dropped in July, for example, tells of the *trivia in her daily life, including brushing her teeth, doing yoga and taking the bus.

我們知道，這位任性的年輕女性很愛(ài)組合的其他成員，但她同時(shí)也夢(mèng)想著能做自己真正想做的音樂(lè)，哪怕只是一張英文翻唱的迷你專(zhuān)輯。對(duì)于她和粉絲而言，幸運(yùn)的是，她的夢(mèng)想成真了。我們還可以得知的是，在個(gè)人專(zhuān)輯的歌曲選擇上，Hebe有著與眾不同的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。比如，她今年7月發(fā)行的最新專(zhuān)輯《日?！分v述的就是刷牙、做瑜伽、搭公交車(chē)等她日常生活中的瑣事。

But being self-*indulgent when it comes to making music usually leads to a flop. The 33-year-old singer, who’s been in showbiz for 16 years, should be well aware of this. But what she knows for sure is the *whopping result a hit can bring. The 2015 hit single A Little Happiness (《小幸運(yùn)》) has won her a number of nominations at both the Golden Horse Awards and Golden Melody Awards.

但隨心所欲地做音樂(lè)很可能導(dǎo)致失敗。這位已出道16年、現(xiàn)年33歲的歌手應(yīng)該很了解這一點(diǎn)。但她一定知道的是一首熱門(mén)金曲所帶來(lái)的巨大反響。她的2015年熱門(mén)單曲《小幸運(yùn)》便獲得了金馬獎(jiǎng)和金曲獎(jiǎng)的多項(xiàng)提名。

But Tien herself prefers to walk on rough *terrain, as then “the views are better”, she told Womany. “Actually, so long as we pull out all the stops to produce one big hit, we can get a good reward from an album. But that’s not good for me,” the singer added. It seems that her biggest wish is for her music to express her own voice.

但Hebe自己卻更喜歡走險(xiǎn)路，因?yàn)槟菢?ldquo;風(fēng)景會(huì)更好”，她在接受《女人迷》網(wǎng)站采訪時(shí)表示。“事實(shí)上，只要我們?nèi)σ愿暗刂谱鞒鲆皇状鬅岣枨覀儽隳軓倪@張專(zhuān)輯中獲得很好的收益。但對(duì)我來(lái)說(shuō)，那樣并不好，”這位歌手補(bǔ)充道。她最大的心愿似乎就是讓她的音樂(lè)傳達(dá)出自己的聲音。

Offshore Island (《離島》), a single from Tien’s first album, To Hebe, may probably best demonstrate the singer. “I’m a small island, a *satiable island... I never worry about the small population on my island... I only need those who know me to know me.”

Hebe首張專(zhuān)輯《To Hebe》中的一首單曲《離島》或許最能表露這位歌手的心聲。“我是座小小島，容易滿足的小島……不擔(dān)心我這島居民太少……懂的人懂得就好。”
