A young foolish guy was walking along a river bank one night when he heard someone yelling1 for help on the other side of the river. He yelled back to see if there was anything he could do.
He found out that the voice on the other side of the river were from two Blondes. They yelled and told him that they needed to get over to the other side of the river but could not find a bridge. The guy thought for a minute and finally yelled back to the Blondes, "I'll shine this flashlight2 across the river and you walk across the beam3 to this side"
The Blondes immediately replied, "We are not stupid, when we get halfway across the river you will shut the flashlight off and we will fall into the river!"
