His name was Johnny, and one day he came home from school looking so miserable1 that his mother was worried.
What is wrong? she finally asked.
Out of his trousers2 pocket, Johnny fished a note3 from the teacher which said, "Johnny has been a very naughty4 boy. Please have a serious talk with him."
What did you do? asked mother.
Nothing, sobbed Johnny, "except that the teacher asked a question and I was the only one who could answer it."
Hmn, murmured5 mother, "what was the question?"
Who put the dead mouse6 in my drawer? answered Johnny.

“嗯”,媽媽沉吟道,“那是什么問題呢?”
“是誰把死老鼠放在我抽屜里?”約翰尼答道。
