Our four-year-old son speaks English and German, and he has picked up some Cantonese since living in Hong Kong.

One day I was getting ready to take him to a rugby game. His mother, not being a rugby fan, planned a quiet afternoon at home. Our son, however, pleaded1.

"Come on, Mommy, you must come."

"I don't understand the game," she replied.

"But it's in English, Mommy!"

我們四歲的兒子說(shuō)英語(yǔ)和德語(yǔ)，自從到香港居住后，他也能說(shuō)上幾句廣東話。

一天我準(zhǔn)備帶他去看橄欖球比賽。她媽媽不喜歡看橄欖球，為自己安排了一個(gè)休閑的下午，我們的兒子求他的媽媽道：

“媽媽?zhuān)氵€是去吧你，應(yīng)該和我們一起去”

“我不懂這種比賽”她回答。

“媽媽?zhuān)荣愂怯糜⒄Z(yǔ)講的。”
