The share of the Chinese currency the renminbi (RMB) in cross-border payments hit a record high in 2020 and continued to gain steam, according to a report on the internationalization of the RMB published by the China Banking Association.
中國銀行業(yè)協(xié)會日前發(fā)布的《人民幣國際化報告(2020)》顯示,人民幣跨境結(jié)算規(guī)模快速增長,在跨境收支中的使用比例創(chuàng)歷史新高。
The cross-border use of the RMB surged 44.3% year on year to 28.38 trillion yuan last year, of which cross-border receipts reached 14.1 trillion yuan and payments came in at 14.28 trillion yuan, according to the report.
數(shù)據(jù)顯示,去年全國人民幣跨境收付金額合計28.38萬億元,同比增長44.3%。其中收款14.1萬億元,付款14.28萬億元。
Cross-border RMB settlements accounted for 47.4% of all cross-border domestic and foreign currency settlements, a new record that was 9.28 percentage points higher than the figure seen in 2019, data from the report shows.
人民幣跨境收付占同期本外幣跨境收付總金額的比重為47.4%,創(chuàng)歷史新高,較上年增長9.28個百分點。
RMB interest and exchange rates remained relatively stable amid the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, making the currency a safe-haven asset for global investors and capital, the report noted.
在全球疫情肆虐的背景下,人民幣利率、匯率均在全球市場保持較強的穩(wěn)定性,人民幣"全球避險資產(chǎn)"的功能逐步顯現(xiàn)。
