China plans to recruit 84,330 college graduates as teachers in rural primary and middle schools in 2021 as part of efforts to promote rural vitalization, the Ministry of Education said Wednesday.
為鞏固拓展脫貧攻堅(jiān)成果，教育部、財(cái)政部4月7日聯(lián)合發(fā)布2021年農(nóng)村義務(wù)教育階段特崗教師實(shí)施工作通知。2021年，全國(guó)計(jì)劃招聘特崗教師84330名。

The recruitment is mainly for the once-impoverished areas and those inhabited by ethnic groups to consolidate the results of poverty reduction, according to a notice issued by the ministries of education and finance on carrying out the rural special-post teacher recruitment program this year.
通知明確，2021年，"特崗計(jì)劃"重點(diǎn)向"三區(qū)三州"、原脫貧攻堅(jiān)掛牌督戰(zhàn)地區(qū)、少數(shù)民族地區(qū)等地區(qū)傾斜；

The program is expected to enhance the teaching capacity of some weak subjects in rural schools such as arts, foreign languages and information technology, said the notice.
重點(diǎn)為鄉(xiāng)村學(xué)校加強(qiáng)藝術(shù)、外語(yǔ)、信息技術(shù)等緊缺薄弱學(xué)科教師的補(bǔ)充。

It also called for efforts to ensure salaries and social security of the teachers.
通知提出，切實(shí)做好特崗教師待遇保障。

China launched the special-post teacher recruitment program in 2006, with the goal of adding college graduates to the insufficient teaching resources of compulsory education in rural areas.
我國(guó)自2006年啟動(dòng)"特崗計(jì)劃"，招聘高校畢業(yè)生到師資緊缺的農(nóng)村義務(wù)教育階段學(xué)校任教。
