四川14萬貧困人口將獲得清潔用水

Southwest China's Sichuan Province vows to make safe drinking water accessible to about 140,000 local residents living under the poverty line this year, the provincial water resources department announced Thursday.

The local government allocated 808 million yuan (116.7 million U.S. dollars) by the end of 2018 to provide 421,500 impoverished people in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture access to clean drinking water, according to the department.

該部門稱，到2018年底，當(dāng)?shù)卣畵芸?.08億元(1.167億美元)，為涼山彝族自治州的42.15萬貧困人口提供清潔飲用水。

Of the underprivileged people with no access to clean drinking water in the province, about 103,700 are from the 11 deep poverty-stricken counties in the prefecture, accounting for 67 percent of the province's total impoverished population.

在全省無法獲得清潔飲用水的貧困人口中，有10.37萬人來自11個地級市貧困縣，占全省貧困人口總數(shù)的67%。

More than 400 million yuan will be invested in the safe drinking water projects in the 11 counties this year, the department said.
