俄羅斯奧運(yùn)會(huì)禁令解除

Russia’s ban from the Olympic Games has been lifted as the organisers of the world’s biggest sporting event try to draw a line under a scandal that revealed years of state-sponsored doping.

禁止俄羅斯參加奧運(yùn)會(huì)的禁令已被解除。世界最大體育賽事的組織者試圖告別一樁揭露出多年來由國家支持的服用興奮劑行為的丑聞。

The International Olympic Committee responded to revelations of “systemic” doping by barring the Russian Olympic Committee from the Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea, which took place this month.

針對俄羅斯運(yùn)動(dòng)員被曝“系統(tǒng)性”使用興奮劑，國際奧委會(huì)(IOC)禁止俄羅斯奧委會(huì)(ROC)參加2月在韓國平昌(Pyeongchang)舉行的冬季奧運(yùn)會(huì)。

The decision meant that no athletes were permitted to compete under the Russian flag during the event. But the ban was quickly watered down, with 168 Russians deemed to be “clean” allowed to compete as neutrals under the banner of Olympic Athlete from Russia.

這個(gè)決定意味著，沒有一個(gè)運(yùn)動(dòng)員被允許代表俄羅斯參賽。但這項(xiàng)禁令很快就淡化了，168名被認(rèn)為“清白”的俄羅斯運(yùn)動(dòng)員被允許以中立身份參加本屆冬奧會(huì)。

During the Pyeongchang Games, two Russian athletes failed drugs tests. The World Anti-Doping Agency maintains its strong criticisms of the country’s sports authorities, arguing they have not taken measures required to comply with international controls following “Russia’s proven systemic manipulation of the doping control process”.

在平昌奧運(yùn)會(huì)期間，有2名俄羅斯運(yùn)動(dòng)員未能通過興奮劑檢測。世界反興奮劑機(jī)構(gòu)(WADA)繼續(xù)強(qiáng)烈批評俄羅斯體育當(dāng)局，稱他們在“俄羅斯被證明系統(tǒng)性操縱興奮劑管制過程”后，仍未能采取必要措施以遵守國際管制。

Despite this, the IOC said on Wednesday that it has lifted its ban on the ROC, because no further failed drugs tests were detected during the Pyeongchang games.

“The final notification of all remaining test results from the Olympic Athlete from Russia delegation has been received from the Doping-Free Sport Unit,” the IOC said in a statement. “The IOC can confirm that all the remaining results are negative. Therefore . . . the suspension of the Russian Olympic Committee is automatically lifted with immediate effect.”

“已經(jīng)收到無興奮劑體育部門(DFSU)關(guān)于俄羅斯代表團(tuán)運(yùn)動(dòng)員所有剩余測試結(jié)果的最終通知。”國際奧委會(huì)在聲明中表示，“國際奧委會(huì)可以證實(shí)，余下所有測試結(jié)果均為陰性。因此……取消俄羅斯奧委會(huì)資格的決定自動(dòng)撤銷并即刻生效。”

Alexander Zhukov, head of the ROC, said the organisation “has had its rights fully restored. It is a decision of the utmost importance for us.”

俄羅斯奧委會(huì)主席亞歷山大•朱可夫(Alexander Zhukov)表示，俄羅斯奧委會(huì)的“權(quán)利已經(jīng)完全恢復(fù)。這對我們是一個(gè)至關(guān)重要的決定”。
