中國互聯(lián)網(wǎng)監(jiān)管機構譴責萬豪國際(Marriott International)違反了中國法律,并責令其將中文網(wǎng)站和在線預訂應用關閉一周,此前該公司在一些在線表格中將臺灣列為國家。
The Shanghai office of China’s cyberspace administration, the internet regulator, said in an online post on Thursday that Marriott’s listing of Taiwan as a country had “seriously violated national laws and hurt the feelings of the Chinese people”.
上海市網(wǎng)信辦周四在網(wǎng)上發(fā)帖表示,萬豪把臺灣列為國家的行為“嚴重違反國家有關法律法規(guī),傷害中國人民感情”。
Marriott, which operates more than 120 hotels in China, said that it “respects the integrity of Chinese territory” in a post on Sina Weibo, China’s equivalent of Twitter.
在中國經(jīng)營逾120家酒店的萬豪在新浪微博(Weibo)發(fā)帖表示,其“尊重中國主權和領土完整”。
It added: “We do not support any separatist organisation that damages China’s sovereignty or territorial integrity. We sincerely apologise for any actions which might have created misunderstandings about that position”.
萬豪還表示:“我們絕不支持任何損害中國主權和領土完整的任何分裂組織。我們對任何可能引起對以上立場誤解的行為深刻道歉。”
Marriott’s Chinese booking app listed Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan as possible choices for a guest’s country of origin, according to Chinese state media, which reported that the same options had been presented in an online questionnaire that the company sent by email, with the addition of Tibet as an option.

Beijing considers Taiwan an inherent part of its territory, and often reacts angrily to suggestions that the self-ruling island is an independent state. The former colonies of Hong Kong and Macau are Beijing-ruled since the 1990s but retain some autonomy from the mainland.

Marriott’s Chinese website was not accessible on Thursday evening. The American hotel giant has plans to open dozens more locations in China and last year formed a joint venture with Alibaba Group Holding to sell online travel bookings.

China’s tourism regulator said in an online post on Thursday that it had asked all other hotel operators to check their websites to ensure that “similar incidents” would not occur.
