Housing prices, the Shanghai Expo and campus security were listed among the hottest words in Chinese newspapers during the first half of this year, a report said on Monday.
The report, released by the Beijing Language and Culture University and the National Linguistics Resource Monitoring and Research Center, was based on a research on 16 leading newspapers from Jan 1 to June 30.
The other hot words included earthquake, World Cup, and oil leakage in the Gulf of Mexico.
