德國(guó)環(huán)境部擺“素宴” 政界人士吃不飽

Politicians stormed out of a buffet at a German government symposium on "exporting green technology" in Berlin this month when meat was not served, a media report said on Saturday.

據(jù)媒體上周六報(bào)道，2月在柏林舉行的“出口綠色技術(shù)”的政府研討會(huì)上，會(huì)議自助餐擺“素宴”，不少政界人士表示不滿。

Instead of the salami rolls, cocktail sausages or goulash soups one would ordinarily expect at similar functions in the German capital, the lunchtime menu offered Belgian endives with caramelised apple and a soya vegetable lasagne, the Guardian reported.

《衛(wèi)報(bào)》報(bào)道稱，午餐菜單并沒(méi)有像往常那樣提供意大利香腸、小香腸和燉牛肉湯，而是為大家準(zhǔn)備了伴有焦糖蘋(píng)果的比利時(shí)菊苣和蔬菜大豆意面等素食。

The vegetarian spread was the first manifestation of the German Environment Ministry's decision this month to became the first government agency to take meat and fish off the menu at official functions, citing a need to lead by example when it comes to environmentally sustainable consumption and the "consequences of consuming meat".

德國(guó)環(huán)境部2月決定“戒魚(yú)戒肉”，也是首個(gè)將魚(yú)和肉剔出政府活動(dòng)菜單的部門，此次是他們首次以實(shí)際行動(dòng)推廣素食理念。環(huán)境部稱，要實(shí)現(xiàn)環(huán)境可持續(xù)消費(fèi)，消除“消耗肉類的后果”，環(huán)境部需要以身作則。

"We decided to take the symbolic step to ban meat and fish at external events because we want to practice what we preach," ministry spokesperson Michael Schroeren told the Guardian. 德國(guó)環(huán)境部發(fā)言人Michael Schroeren告訴《衛(wèi)報(bào)》說(shuō)：“我們決定采取象征性的一步，在舉辦對(duì)外活動(dòng)時(shí)禁絕魚(yú)和肉，因?yàn)槲覀兿胍`行我們的觀念。”

"For us it was a matter of credibility".

Christian Schmidt, Germany's food minister and a member of the Christian Social Union (CSU), immediately slammed Environment Minister Barbara Hendricks.

基督教社會(huì)聯(lián)盟成員、德國(guó)食品部長(zhǎng)克里斯蒂安•施密特立即抨擊了環(huán)境部長(zhǎng)芭芭拉•亨德里克斯。

He said: "With us there won't be a veggie day through the back door. Instead of paternalism and ideology I stand for variety and freedom of choice."

他說(shuō)：“只要有我們?cè)冢l(shuí)也別想悄悄搞什么素食日。相比環(huán)境部的家長(zhǎng)作風(fēng)和意識(shí)形態(tài)，我更支持多樣化與自由選擇”。

Before the last German elections in 2013, the Green party had proposed a weekly "veggie day" on which canteens across the country would not be serving meat - a policy proposal that backfired and was blamed by many for the party gaining only 8.5 percent at the election.

德國(guó)2013年舉行上次選舉前，綠黨提出了每周一天素食的口號(hào)，這一天全國(guó)的餐廳不得供應(yīng)肉類。不過(guò)這一政策建議事與愿違，遭到很多人的譴責(zé)。綠黨僅在選舉中收獲8.5%的選票。
