第三十課 憑直覺(jué)

Who taught the bird to build her nest,

誰(shuí)教鳥(niǎo)兒筑巢，

Of wool, and hay, and moss?

要用絨毛，粘土和苔蘚？

Who taught her how to weave it best,

誰(shuí)教她如何編制為最好，

And lay the twigs across?

并將細(xì)細(xì)的樹(shù)枝交織在一起？

Who taught the busy bee to fly

誰(shuí)教忙碌的蜜蜂飛行

Amongst the sweetest flowers;

在那最甜的花叢中；

And lay her store of honey by,

建起她的蜜房，

To eat in winter hours?

為了冬天能有吃的？

Who taught the little ants the way

誰(shuí)教小小的螞蟻學(xué)會(huì)

Their narrow holes to bore,

如何鉆出細(xì)小的孔洞，

And through the pleasant summer day

在愉快的夏天里

To gather up their store?—

積蓄他們的儲(chǔ)備？——

'Twas God who taught them all the way,

是上帝教給它們方法，

And gave their little skill;

也給了它們簡(jiǎn)單的技能；

And teaches children, when they pray,

當(dāng)它們打獵時(shí)，上帝教會(huì)它們的孩子，

To do his holy will.

讓它們做他神圣的旨意。
