贊同、反對和妥協(xié)　Agreeing, Disagreeing, and Compromising

在日常生活中，我們要接觸各種類型的人，當(dāng)然也包括要接觸（in contact）那些不同類型的人和想法不一樣的人。不贊同并不是要聲嘶力竭、怒發(fā)沖冠。和一個與你觀點背道而馳的人彬彬有禮（polite）地討論是需要技巧和實踐鍛煉的（skill and practice）。

表達(dá)贊同

贊同別人的觀點，除了可以說“I agree with you”以外，還有其他很多種說法。你也可以用“absolutely”“exactly”“no doubt”等副詞或短語來增強肯定語氣。

☉I agree with you 100 percent.That’s so true.

我百分之百贊同，那是正確無誤的。

☉I couldn't agree with you more.

我完全贊同您。

☉Tell me about it！

給我說說吧。

☉No doubt about it.You're absolutely right.

毋庸置疑，您完全正確。

表達(dá)不贊同

給別人表述觀點（speak his mind）的機會。傾聽會讓你把注意力集中（focus on）到對話的內(nèi)容上。即便你根本不同意對方的觀點，你也要通過積極關(guān)注（being attentive）來表達(dá)你的尊敬。

打斷

平心靜氣地討論，不要指名道姓，惡語中傷。要溫和體貼（courteous and consideration），引導(dǎo)對方向你的觀點靠攏，在甩出自己的觀點時也要兼顧對方的感受。退出的時候要做到承上啟下，保持禮貌。

妥協(xié)或轉(zhuǎn)換話題

當(dāng)討論迷失方向（leading nowhere）時就該轉(zhuǎn)換話題了。如果雙方都已掃興就沒有必要繼續(xù)下去了。禮貌地請求對方或者自己主動換一個有趣的話題，也可以直接說想休息一下。

☉Let's just move on, shall we?

讓我們談些別的，行嗎？

☉Let's drop it.

讓我們先到此為止吧。

我想我們只好各持己見了。

總結(jié)

“理不辯則不明”，無論你是否贊同對方的觀點，都應(yīng)當(dāng)是“君子之爭”。要別人心悅誠服，就得先當(dāng)謙謙君子，以理服人。即便是不贊同別人的觀點，也要認(rèn)真傾聽，理解其出發(fā)點。如果沒有談下去的必要，就審時度勢，調(diào)整話題，畢竟“友誼第一”。

A：I'd say the exact opposite. The economic downturn is the perfect time for people to pick up foreclosed properties at a fraction of their actual value. Investment in real estate is hot right now.We've got to move on this property or we're gonna be outta luck.

B：Not necessarily. I still think we should wait.
