端午節(jié)在英語中叫做龍舟節(jié)：

端午節(jié)有其非常悠久的歷史，在說到歷史淵源時，有一個詞必須要掌握：

The story best known in China holds that the festival commemorates the death of the poet QuYuan:

端午節(jié)是為了紀念詩人屈原投江離世而來，這個故事在中國廣為人知。

It's said that the local people, who admired him, raced out in their boats to save him, or at least retrieve his body.

相傳，當?shù)氐陌傩諅冊诮蟿澲堉?，試圖救起屈原，或至少能找到他的遺體。

When his body could not be found, they dropped balls of sticky rice into the river so that the fish would eat them instead of Qu Yuan's body. This is said to be the origin of zongzi.

但百姓們最終還是失敗了，為了不讓水中的魚把屈原的身體吃掉，他們將粽子投入江中。這也就是粽子的起源。

粽子

Wrapped in leaves of bamboo, zongzi has a special aroma and flavor to the sticky rice and fillings.

粽子用竹葉包裹，因此，它的糯米和餡料都會沾有一種特殊的香味和風味。
