美國(guó)文化脫口秀 第386期:G20的G是什么?

同為國(guó)際關(guān)系碩士，Jenny和Spencer都表示，今天一定要說(shuō)G20!大家知道G20的“G”，到底代表什么?總理、首相、總統(tǒng)、主席各種稱謂，英語(yǔ)是什么?各國(guó)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人名字怎么念?還有國(guó)際政壇顏值擔(dān)當(dāng)?shù)膸浉缈偫?，這次也來(lái)了，而且和中國(guó)頗有淵源!

What's the G in G20? G20里這個(gè)G到底是什么意思?

答案是.......

G = group: 集團(tuán)，團(tuán)體

It stands for "group". When you say G20, it sounds much more powerful and mysterious: 其實(shí)就是“團(tuán)體”啦，不過(guò)說(shuō)G20, 聽(tīng)起來(lái)有氣勢(shì)多了，而且還有幾分神秘感

這幾個(gè)說(shuō)法都特別地道。跟native speaker說(shuō)，他們一定對(duì)你刮目相看!

不過(guò)，這些說(shuō)法很口語(yǔ);正式的說(shuō)法是：

national leaders: 國(guó)家領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人

heads of states: 國(guó)家元首

總統(tǒng)、主席;總理、首相

雖然中文叫法因國(guó)而異，不過(guò)基本上英語(yǔ)談國(guó)家領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人，就會(huì)用這兩個(gè)詞：

President: 總統(tǒng)、主席

Prime Minister (也?？s寫(xiě)為PM): 首相，總理

但是，有個(gè)例外：

Chancellor: 德國(guó)總理用這個(gè)詞

Germany is the only major country that uses the word "chancellor" instead of prime minister: 德國(guó)應(yīng)該是主要國(guó)家里唯一用chancellor而不是prime minister稱呼總理的

G20還有一個(gè)國(guó)王

King: 國(guó)王

Which country is that? 這是哪個(gè)國(guó)家?

It's a country with a lot of oil: 是個(gè)石油很多的國(guó)家

Hunk (名詞 )/ hunky(形容詞): 高大帥氣

帥總理爸爸開(kāi)啟中加外交關(guān)系

特魯多的爸爸也曾任加拿大總理，而且是加拿大人公認(rèn)的最杰出的一任總理。他們家族在加拿大的地位堪比肯尼迪家族在美國(guó)的地位。
