關(guān)鍵詞:
傳統(tǒng)語法教學(xué)反人性
Grammar is viewed as a monster because of how it's taught in China: 傳統(tǒng)的教學(xué)方式,讓很多中國人覺得語法就像洪水猛獸
It's so technical and theoretical: 實(shí)在太理論了
Our edutcation approach has led many to think they need to memorize and understand grammar rules before they can use English: 我們的教學(xué)方式讓很多人覺得要先背語法規(guī)則,才能說英語、用英語
That's a huge misconception: 這是一個(gè)很大的誤區(qū)
怎么學(xué)語法才有效?
We didn't have grammar classes. We learned grammar through reading and writing: 我們沒有獨(dú)立的語法課。我們學(xué)語法就是通過閱讀和寫
We learned parts of speech, but we didn't learn all the technical linguistic theories: 我們會(huì)學(xué)詞性,但是不會(huì)學(xué)特別技術(shù)性的語言學(xué)理論
The stand-alone approach to teaching grammar doesn't work: 把語法單獨(dú)分出來教效果是很差的
The stand-alone approach always starts with grammar rules: 這種語法分隔的教學(xué)法總會(huì)先教學(xué)生規(guī)則
But after learning abstract rules, you're confused as hell: 但是學(xué)完這些抽象的規(guī)則,大多數(shù)人已經(jīng)暈了
Or too scared: 或者被嚇跑了
不要從語法切入
要從高頻場(chǎng)景、高頻語言入手
Learning English as a second English is different from first language acquisition, but there're still common rules:當(dāng)然二語學(xué)習(xí)跟母語是不一樣的,但是還是有一些共同點(diǎn)
That is do not start learning English from learning grammar rules: 就是不要以語法為切入點(diǎn)學(xué)英語
You need to start with high frequency situations and high frequency language: 要從高頻場(chǎng)景和高頻語言切入
Expose yourself to natural English input and resources: 多接觸自然的英語輸入、英語資源
You can learn the grammar pattern afterwards to help you apply in more general contexts: 然后再總結(jié)語法規(guī)則,以便以后更廣泛應(yīng)用
But never start the other way around:但是千萬不要倒過來、先學(xué)語法,再去溝通
學(xué)語法,要挑選 多接觸常用語法 我們常收到用戶語法類的問題,比如:
倒裝句怎么用?
How do I use inverted sentences?
可是,你有沒有想過,你平時(shí)會(huì)不會(huì)用倒裝句?
Why am I even using inverted sentences?
This grammar point is very formal: 這個(gè)語法點(diǎn)只用在非常正式的情況下
就像"Never have I heard it before","Nowhere can I find my lost watch"這些句子。
為什么你的語法如此別扭
大家想想,這其實(shí)都是特別日常的生活場(chǎng)景,完全沒有必要用倒裝句。
你用了,反而顯得非常奇怪!
You don't need to use inverted sentences in common everyday situations: 日??谡Z很少用倒裝句
Instead of saying "Nowhere can I find my lost watch", you can just say “I can't find my watch anywhere”: 根本不需要說"Nowhere can I find my lost watch",說““I can't find my watch anywhere”
If you use the inverted structure, you will sound really awkward: 如果你用了倒裝句,聽起來會(huì)非常別扭
So never learn grammar from rules, from principles, from the book. Always start with real-life situations: 所以大家學(xué)語法一定不要先去找語法書、先去背一大堆規(guī)則。而是要從實(shí)際生活出發(fā)。
擁抱真實(shí)的生活 真實(shí)的語言
This is not what language is supposed to be. It's not first finding the structure and then saying something. 語言不應(yīng)該是這個(gè)樣子的,不是先找到結(jié)構(gòu)再去表達(dá).
It should be you expressing yourself, hopefully using the right structure:語言的目的是幫你表達(dá)自己,用最恰當(dāng)?shù)姆绞?/p>
受了多年反人性的語法教育 你該怎么辦?
其實(shí)說到這里,希望大家對(duì)于語法學(xué)習(xí)有了一些新認(rèn)識(shí)。
這也就是為什么我們每天發(fā)新課、不斷帶來實(shí)用、有趣的內(nèi)容。
因?yàn)?,學(xué)好英語,一定要融入生活、變成習(xí)慣;習(xí)慣成自然、習(xí)慣成愛好!
You need to make English a part of your daily life, turn it into a routine, make it into a lifelong passion.
接地氣的方法學(xué)語法
We really didn't want to take the traditional grammar rules approach: 我們完全不想以傳統(tǒng)的語法教學(xué)法教大家
Instead, we will focus on some of the most common grammar questions and mistakes Chinese tend to make: 相反,我們會(huì)重點(diǎn)講講大家普遍遇到的語法困惑、糾正最常見的錯(cuò)誤
Start with the "low-hanging fruit" and master it:從最基本的開始,把它學(xué)扎實(shí)
比如,中國人常常對(duì)于"the"很困惑:什么時(shí)候用The? 什么時(shí)候不用The?
最后,真誠地跟大家說:不要因?yàn)檎Z法懼怕英語、抗拒英語。一定要多聽多看自己用得到、感興趣的英語資源。從真實(shí)的語言入手,培養(yǎng)正確自然的英語使用習(xí)慣。再去總結(jié)語法。
This is way more helpful than just memorizing grammar rules.
