There were three engineers riding along in a car.

They were an electrical engineer, a mechanical engineer and a computer engineer.

Suddenly， the car broke down.

The electrical engineer said, "Maybe it's a dead battery."

The mechanical engineer said，"Maybe the fan belt broke."

The computer engineer said，"Let's close all the windows，open them again，and see if that fixes it."

Notes:

1.There were three engineers riding along in a car.

有3個(gè)工程師坐在一輛汽車(chē)?yán)铩?/p>

"ride"可以表示“騎(機(jī)動(dòng)車(chē)、自行車(chē))”或“騎馬”,也可以表示“搭乘(交通工具)。這里的along不要和alone(單獨(dú)地)弄混了，兩者發(fā)音、字形相似，但意思完全不同。

他們一個(gè)是電機(jī)工程師，一個(gè)是機(jī)械工程師、還有一個(gè)是電腦工程師，

3.Suddenly, the car broke down.

突然，車(chē)子拋錨了。

maybe和perhaps都是表示“可能;也許”，但是一般日常生活口語(yǔ)中多用前者，正式場(chǎng)合或書(shū)面用語(yǔ)則應(yīng)使用后者。它們通常都放在句首。

6.The computer engineer said，"Let's close all the windows，open them again，and see if that fixes it."

電腦工程師說(shuō)：“我們關(guān)掉所有的窗戶(hù)，再打開(kāi)，看看是否能修好它。”

每當(dāng)電腦死機(jī)或有異常時(shí)，通常會(huì)關(guān)掉所有的視窗 (windows)或重新啟動(dòng).電腦工程師也用相同的模式來(lái)處理他所面臨的問(wèn)題。殊不知，此windows非彼windows。
