stop somebody (something) 讓……停止

stop 后面接上名詞，即 stop something 表示“使……停止”，“停下”， stop somebody 表示“阻止某人的行動(dòng)”“使某人停手”。

例句：

Please stop the fighting!

請(qǐng)別吵了！

We couldn't stop the bleeding.

我們沒(méi)辦法止住血。

Stop it! I'm serious!

行了，我是認(rèn)真的！

對(duì)話：

A: I heard this house has a ghost.

我聽(tīng)說(shuō)這間房子有鬼。

B: Stop it! You're scaring me.
