　　prefer A (名詞，…ing) to B (名詞，... ing) 喜歡A大于B

　　prefer A to B 則表示比起 B 更喜歡 A，A 和 B 可以都是名詞或者是動名詞 ...ing。需要注意的是，比較對象前面可不是 than，而是 to。

　　例句：

　　I think I prefer New York to other cities in America.

　　我覺得在美國，我最喜歡紐約了。

　　I prefer eating out in a restaurant to sitting around at home.

　　比起在家待著，我喜歡出去吃。

　　She prefers text messaging to leaving voice messages.

　　比起語音留言，她更喜歡發(fā)短信。

　　對話：

　　A: I think I prefer New York to other cities in America.

　　我覺得在美國，我最喜歡紐約了。

　　B: Really? Is there some special reason for that?

　　真的？有什么特別的理由嗎？
