① the other day表示“幾天以前，那天”，常同過去時(shí)連用。

② the next day表示“某動(dòng)作完成后的第二天”，謂語動(dòng)詞用過去時(shí)。

他睡得很好，第二天就好些了。

He slept well and was getting better the other day.

He slept well and was getting better the next day.

I met an old friend the other day.

③ another day意為“另一天”，指從說話當(dāng)天起，往后的某天，常同將來時(shí)連用。

I must go now. I'll come again another day. 我現(xiàn)在必須走了。改日我再來。
