589　right away，at once，immediately，in a minute和at the moment

① right away表示“立刻，馬上”，指毫不猶豫或毫不耽誤地。

I'll ring him up right away. 我馬上就給他打電話。

You'd better do it right away. 你最好馬上就做那件事。

提示

right now既可以表示“現(xiàn)在（at this moment）”，也可以表示“立刻”。

He is not feeling well right now. 他現(xiàn)在感覺不好。

Let's go right now. 我們馬上就去吧。

② at once相當(dāng)于now，without delay。

Come downstairs at once！馬上下樓來！

Do it at once. 立刻就做。

③ at once還可表示“同時，一齊”，相當(dāng)于at the same time，together。

Don't ask me questions at once. 不要同時都問我問題。

④ immediately意同at once，但更強(qiáng)調(diào)“緊接著”。

Immediately after dinner he began to do his homework. 一吃完飯，他就開始做作業(yè)了。

He answered the question almost immediately. 他幾乎立刻作了回答。

immediately可用作連詞，意為“一……就”。

⑤ in a minute意為“一會兒”，相當(dāng)于soon，常用于將來時中。

He will be back in a minute. 他一會兒就回來。

The party will begin in a minute. 晚會馬上就要開始。

⑥ at the moment表示“此刻，現(xiàn)在”，相當(dāng)于now。

He is reading at the moment. 他現(xiàn)在正在讀書。

What is he doing at the moment？他此刻在干什么？
