580　remember，remind，memorize，recall和recollect

① remember表示“記住，記得”，主語(yǔ)只能是人，既可指狀態(tài)，相當(dāng)于keep in mind，也可指動(dòng)作，相當(dāng)于call back into the mind。

I still remember her face. 我仍然記得她的面容。

We shall forever remember your kindly help. 我們將永遠(yuǎn)記住你的友好幫助。

提示

remember doing sth. 表示“記得（已經(jīng)）做過(guò)某事”；remember to do sth. 表示“記住要去做某事”；但remember to have done sth. 則相當(dāng)于remember doing sth.，表示記得已做過(guò)某事。

I remember to have seen her pick it up. 我記得曾經(jīng)看見(jiàn)她把它撿了起來(lái)。

I remember to have been taken to Shanghai when I was a small child. 我記得很小的時(shí)候曾被帶去過(guò)上海。

② remind表示“提醒，使……想起”，主語(yǔ)可以是人或物，比較下面的結(jié)構(gòu)：

remind sb. of sth. 提醒某人某事，使想起

remind sb. to do sth. 提醒某人做某事

She reminded me of my promise. 她提醒我的承諾。

This photo reminds me of her mother. 這張照片使我想起了她母親。

He reminded her to post the letter. 他提醒她寄那封信。

Please remind me to water the flowers. 請(qǐng)?zhí)嵝盐覞不ā?

③ memorize表示“記住，記憶”，指的是有目的的記憶，側(cè)重主觀動(dòng)作的過(guò)程。

He has memorized all the words in this dictionary. 他記住了這本詞典中的所有單詞。

She tried to memorize every new word. 她盡力記住每一個(gè)新單詞。

④ recall常用詞，指經(jīng)過(guò)一定的思索而記起某一件事，強(qiáng)調(diào)一次的回憶，或因有所感而想起過(guò)去之事，后接名詞、代詞、動(dòng)名詞、從句，但不接不定式。

Whenever I hear the song，I recall her face. 每當(dāng)聽(tīng)到這首歌，我就回想起她的音容笑貌。

⑤ recollect為正式用詞，指用心追憶、回想某一件事，強(qiáng)調(diào)有意識(shí)地努力或意志，同recall詞義相近，但更強(qiáng)。
