392　intent和intention

① intent目的，意圖，正式用詞。

with good intent 出于好意

He entered the building with intent to steal. 他進入大樓企圖行竊。

② intention意圖，使用區(qū)域較廣，是常用詞。

She felt offended at my remarks，but it wasn't my intention to hurt her. 我的話冒犯了她，但我并不是故意要傷害她的。

③ 兩詞使用結構不同：intent前通常不用冠詞、代詞等限定詞，后接不定式；intention前常用人稱代詞、定冠詞，后接 of doing，或接 to do。
