235　dress，put on和wear

① dress作動(dòng)詞用時(shí)，可以作及物動(dòng)詞或不及物動(dòng)詞。作為及物動(dòng)詞，dress只能以“人”作賓語，不能以衣服作賓語。dress sb.意為“給某人穿衣服”，dress oneself意為“給自己穿衣服”。作為不及物動(dòng)詞，dress指“穿衣服”這個(gè)動(dòng)作。

She dressed the child. 她給那個(gè)孩子穿衣服。

He can dress himself now.

他能給自己穿衣服了。

He can dress in three minutes. 他3分鐘就能穿好衣服。

be dressed in+顏色名詞，意為“穿著某種顏色的衣服”，表示的是狀態(tài)。

She dressed in white.

She is dressing in white.

She is wearing white clothes.

She is dressed in white.

She is in white.

她穿著白衣服。

② put on意為“穿上，戴上”，表示穿或戴這一動(dòng)作。

He put on his coat and went out. 他穿上外衣出去了。

You'd better put on your cap. 你最好戴上帽子。

③ wear意為“穿著，戴著”，表示的是狀態(tài)。be wearing也是表示“穿”的狀態(tài)，并不是進(jìn)行時(shí)。

She is wearing a blue dress today. 她今天穿著藍(lán)色服裝。
