130　burn up和burn down

① burn up意為“燒完，燒掉”（=burn completely），強(qiáng)調(diào)動(dòng)作的完成。

All her books were burned up in the fire. 她全部的書(shū)都在大火中燒掉了。

The house burned up before the firemen got there. 消防隊(duì)員趕到前，房子已經(jīng)燒光了。

burn up有時(shí)可表示“燒旺起來(lái)”，也可表示“消耗掉”，用作及物或不及物動(dòng)詞。
