127　bring，take，get，carry和fetch

① bring 和take可以看作反義詞。bring表示“帶來，拿來（到說話人處）”，take表示“帶去，帶走”，“把某物帶去給某人”是take sth. to sb.。

Why didn't you bring your baby here？你為什么不把你的寶寶帶來呢？

Please bring your brother here tomorrow. 明天請把你弟弟帶來。

Please take your brother there tomorrow. 明天請把你弟弟帶到那里去。

She took the dictionary to Tom. 她把那本詞典帶給了湯姆。

② get本身表示“得到，拿到”，常用于go and get 結(jié)構(gòu)中，意為“去拿，去找，去請，取來”等意。get sth. back 表示“取回”。

Please go and get some water. 去弄些水來。

Go and get a doctor quickly. 快去請醫(yī)生。

Would you please get the money back for me？你能為我把那筆錢取回嗎？

③ carry表示“搬運，攜帶，運送”，指以車輛、船舶、飛機、人畜等將某物從一地搬到另一地，不表示方向。另外，空氣、水、電攜帶物也用carry。

The plane can carry several tons of goods. 這架飛機能運載幾噸貨物。

She carried the box downstairs. 她把箱子搬到樓下去了。

The air carries the fragrance of roses. 空氣中飄來玫瑰花香。

The workers are carrying a big stone. 工人們在搬運一塊大石頭。

He is carrying a bag on his shoulder. 他肩上扛著一個包。

Almost every student carries an umbrella. 幾乎每個學(xué)生都帶著一把傘。

“身上帶錢”可用 carry，也可用 take。

She took a lot of money with her. 她身上帶著許多錢。

He always carries some money about him. 他身上總是帶些錢。

④ fetch表示“去取來，去拿來”，指先去，再拿來，有一個往返過程。

Please fetch me some water. 請給我弄點水來。

Please fetch some bread for us. 請給我們弄些面包來。
