學(xué)霸演講：搜狗英文，搜索全世界

在演講里，王小川分享了30多年的求學(xué)和工作中，好奇心如何驅(qū)使他不斷探索和了解更大的世界，也透露出他推出搜狗英文的初衷：希望更開(kāi)放的中國(guó)一代，通過(guò)搜狗英文搜索滿足對(duì)全世界探索的好奇心。

Hi, I am Wang XiAOChuan.

嗨，我是王小川。

In 1985 when I was in the primary school, I knew LOGO LANguage the first time and started learning English words. Through searching engine, I figured out that LOGO Language was born from a university named MIT, located inBoston on the other end of the earth, 12,000 km far from my hometown Chengdu.

1985年，當(dāng)我還上小學(xué)時(shí)，第一次接觸了計(jì)算機(jī)LOGO語(yǔ)言，也開(kāi)始學(xué)習(xí)英文單詞。通過(guò)搜索引擎，我得知LOGO語(yǔ)言始于一所叫做MIT的大學(xué)，這所高校在地球另一端的波士頓，距離我的家鄉(xiāng)成都12000公里。

When I was in high school, I fell in love with an American game—Command and Conquer. I checked its official website every day, wondering new information about this game. This is the first time that I was so fascinated bya foreign website.

高中的時(shí)候，我迷戀上了一款美國(guó)游戲Command & Conquer，我每天都去訪問(wèn)它的官網(wǎng)，想了解這款游戲的新信息。這是我第一次癡迷于一個(gè)國(guó)外網(wǎng)站。

In 1996, I represented China to go to Budapest for the 8th International Olympiad in Informatics. I got the gold medal, and our team ranked No.1. Coming back to China, I found the excellent performance was recorded on the IOI official website. This is the first time that my name Appears in a foreign website.

1996年，我代表中國(guó)前往布達(dá)佩斯，去參加第八屆國(guó)際奧林匹克信息學(xué)競(jìng)賽。我獲得了金牌，我們代表團(tuán)也獲得團(tuán)體第一。我搜索到我們優(yōu)異的成績(jī)出現(xiàn)在IOI官網(wǎng)上。我的名字第一次出現(xiàn)在國(guó)外網(wǎng)站上。

In 2000, I took part in the research of Human Genome Project at Tsinghua University. Searching in English, I downloaded lots of relevant gene data.This is the first time that I feel the transnational power of research.

2000年，我在清華大學(xué)讀研究生時(shí)參與了人類基因組工程的相關(guān)研究。通過(guò)搜索英文，我下載到了很多與基因相關(guān)的數(shù)據(jù)。我第一次感受到了科研工作的跨國(guó)力量。

During my 30-year studies and work, curiosity has been driving me to learn and understand the new things in the world. I cannot do it without English information. I believe you also desire to be closely linked with the whole world.

在我30多年的求學(xué)和工作中，好奇心趨使我不斷探索和了解更大的世界。沒(méi)有英文信息，我無(wú)法做到這些。我相信你也一樣渴望緊密地與整個(gè)世界相連。
